Experience in the following areas will ensure success in this role:
- Required: PhD Psychology
- Required within 3 years of employment: Possession of a valid license as a psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology
- Experience working with the developmentally disabled community
- Principle, techniques, and problems in developing and coordinating a specialized psychological treatment program
- Principle, techniques, and trends in psychology with reference to normal and disordered behavior, and human development
- Ability to perform assessments and develop behavioral strategies
- Must be competent in the area of cultural sensitivity
- Research methodology and program evaluation
